Improvement! I certainly wasn’t perfect on the range yesterday, but I showed some drastic improvement in the way I hit the ball. It was a short session because it was 100 degrees outside, but I was really hitting the PW well yesterday and hit some decent 8 irons. I just need to keep practicing so it becomes a natural golf swing instead of thinking of 10 things at once.
Main points of focus:
- Keep the right elbow in tight…pointing to the ground at the top of the swing and close to the hip on the way through.
- Waggle once or twice…it is comforting and builds confidence
- Keep the swing on plane. Remember the picture from the book that looks like a plate of glass going on an angle from the ball to the shoulders. The images of Tiger on this website are as close as I could find to the image I’m looking for.
