Improvement!  I certainly wasn’t perfect on the range yesterday, but I showed some drastic improvement in the way I hit the ball.  It was a short session because it was 100 degrees outside, but I was really hitting the PW well yesterday and hit some decent 8 irons.  I just need to keep practicing so it becomes a natural golf swing instead of thinking of 10 things at once.

Main points of focus:

  1. Keep the right elbow in tight…pointing to the ground at the top of the swing and close to the hip on the way through.
  2. Waggle once or twice…it is comforting and builds confidence
  3. Keep the swing on plane.  Remember the picture from the book that looks like a plate of glass going on an angle from the ball to the shoulders.  The images of Tiger on this website are as close as I could find to the image I’m looking for.
